We got you

Bumps, Birth and Belonging Groups

Lets  be real.....

Opening up about how we really feel in pregnancy and early parenthood can be so so hard. We've been told not to 'chat your business', to 'be strong' or 'I did it without all of the things you have these days, so you’ll be ok!'

Its not helpful and has led to many of us as Black women and parents to hold everything inside and uphold the unrealistic and sometimes counter productive 'strong black woman' archetype.

B3-Bumps Birth and Belonging  is a platform dedicated to providing support to new parents and their families. We understand that becoming a parent can be one of the most challenging times in a person’s life. That’s why we take a holistic approach to providing resources and support to help make the transition a little easier.

We are here to support all of you and guide you only to trusted additional professional mental health and/or early years services if you need or ask for it.

Why Group Peer support?

Quality peer support can provide you with personalised, informal, non-judgemental support throughout your entire pregnancy and beyond. The evidence is clear - peer support positively contributes to healthier pregnancies.

You are empowered, gain practical help, knowledge and information, feel less stressed and are more prepared for the changes ahead (maternal mental health alliance)
